I am SO excited. I finally found the vintage Desert Rose Franciscan salt and pepper shakers. Here I have one and it's cracked. I bought them on ebay today and can't wait to receive them. I only have a few plates and a cup, but hope to expand my collection eventually. The real "apple" of my eye is the other Franciscan pattern APPLE. I only have a few plates and odds and ends from my beloved Grandma. All the rest were either broken or sold my Mom tells me. I would have loved to have them. I remember growing up as a little girl having Sunday dinners with my family. We always ate on the Apple plates. I can't help but miss my Grandma so much when I look at these. She was a lovely woman and we were so close. I miss her so much! I also hope to expand my collection mostly with the Apple pattern because of this reason. But with my twins right now being so young a lot of my extra money goes to them, Someday I will expand to my collection so I can give them to my daughter.
NEXT, we have some of my favorite Pyrex dishes. I love them so much! I have others, but not the colors I would like to own. My favorite are the pinks/whites and blues/white. They sell on ebay pretty good, but shipping is always high so that will come with time. But don't you just enjoy them? Anyone else collect vintage Pyrex or Franciscan dishware?
Now here is some of my favorite I Love Lucy stuff in my kitchen. Wasen't she the funniest? I still enjoy her show so much on tv and have made my 13 year old daughter a fan. It never stops making me laugh which I think everyone needs more in their lives. Wouldn't you agree?
