Pretty in pink is a romantic comedy about teenage love and social cliques. Andie a girl from the “wrong side of the tracks” is a sweet but not so popular girl who falls for the handsome and rich guy Blaine.
She hangs out with her best friend Duckie who is in love with Andie. As he struggles with his feelings for her, Andie becomes involved with Blaine entering a new and strange world of the privledged and dealing with how his rich friends treat her. Duckie who sees the girl of his dreams slipping away struggles with their relationship because of his fears of seeing Andie get hurt and the reality of having to let her go.
One of my favorite movies of the 1980's. It made me laugh, cry and I loved to see the good girl get the guy while never loosing who she really was. Andie was the "Shabby Diva" of her day. With her chic style's and unique taste, I became a major fan! The best part being everything "Pink" in the movie made it extra special for me then and now.
