First I want to say congratulations to Spain for finally winning their first World Cup AND for making one of my husbands dreams come true. He was born in Madrid and is a die hard fan. Spain really deserved the win and I'm so happy for them.
BUT I'm even more happy to announce I was the winner of my husbands soccer pool at his work. Now I don't know a thing about the game and I really didn't put much thought into my picks. I just sat down and went through the list of games for the month and with instinct chose who I wanted to win and go all the way. I picked Spain to win the final. When they lost their first game I was like OH NO! what was I thinking, but I just kept going and getting them right up until the end. I finished in first place with 105 points and the second place winner with 101 points. I also kicked my husbands (ha ha) butt by 25 points which was also a sweet victory. I am now 200 dollars richer which I think is awesome! I'm SOO happy that I finally won something and I'm proud of myself for doing so well. YAY!!! So move over Spain...there is a NEW winner in town HA! :-)
